After Reading The Greyfriar by Clay and Susan Griffith

 It was rated 4+ at goodreads.com.  I was curious so I considered it in my TBR list.  I almost did not read this. Steampunk and vampires? The story was set in an alternate world with so many things going on that I don't know what genre this book would be classified. It has fantasy, steampunk, adventure and romance to name a few. It's a grim world where vampires rule in the north and humans in the south. Vampires had eradicated half of the world in what has become to be known as "The Great Killing" and has become man's terrifying nightmare.  In the north, the remaining humans had become their flock of food and under their beck and call.  It's horrific, I wouldn't want to live in that world.  The imminent war began when the prince of the vampires kidnapped the Princess Adele, crown heir to the Equatorian Empire, the largest empire in the human world. But the prince was rescued by the Greyfriar, a masked legendary hero of the humans who protects those handful humn settlements in the north.
I don't want to spoil it to those who haven't read the book, but this I will say that even in the darkest times of a person's life, there's always something good that comes out of it.
An astounding read and I wish I can read it all again as if it was the first time.

After Reading Queen Of Shadows By Dianne Sylvan

An exceptionally and unexpectedly good read.  I was scrolling ratings from Amazon and I saw that this book almost got a 5-star ratings.  So I was curious since I'm always on a look out for a new good urban fantasy book.  At first, I was skeptical.  Music and vampires?  Trite and I think somebody already wrote something of that kind already.  So I was expecting to like it but thinking it would not be extraordinary.  Was I ever wrong.
The first few pages has grabbed me and I soon realized I was flipping the pages so engrossed that I forgot the time.  When I saw it was 2 a.m. in the morning already.  But I could not stop.  I finally resigned to sleep when I heard the sound of a rooster outside the window.  That was 4 a.m.  and I still had to bring the daughter to school and work that morning.
I would not say that it's PNR, but there's definitely romance in it.  But, unlike PNR, this was dark and real, I think.  Miranda had been to hell and back.  I like that she almost gave up, almost gone crazy.  I would have broken down myself if it had happened to me but in the end she endured and fought for herself.  David was her support, but she did it all by herself, for herself.  David is such a darling.  I love that he's strong but sensitive at the same time. In spite of being a vampire, he's very human.  Loved it when they quote Shakespeare.

" For them altogether, which maintained so politic a state of evil that they will not admit any good part to intermingle with them.  But for which of my good parts did you first suffer love for me?"

Books I'm Currently Excited- updated

So, I've already read these two (Bone Gods and Last Sacrifice) and I was not disappointed! Loved it!  Last Sacrifice was the last installment, well for the character Rose and Dimitri anyway.  But according to Ms Mead, a spin off from the series are in the process. I wonder who's it gonna be? Bone Gods keep getting better and better. The next book can't get here fast enough.

After Reading Ecstasy in Darkness ( Alien Huntress 5) By Gena Showalter

I've always liked this series by Ms. Showalter compared to the Lords of the Underworld series. I love the action and the kick-ass attitude of the heroines. Not to mention the intriguing concept of aliens living side by side with humans on earth.  Well, the sizzling love scenes helped too!
Ava, an AIR trainee who still needs to prove herself worthy to be an agent and McKell,  a warrior vampire who has been exiled by their king and is in hiding topside.  Ava needs to capture McKell for AIR, but with McKell's power to manipulate time, it proved to be very tricky. Both having their slight psychotic tendencies, sparks are bound to fly. I just don't know how Ava could think that finger-bones as necklace are sexy, especially when they are her fellow AIR comrades.  Like I said, a bit psycho LOL.
It's a roller-coaster ride with these two.  You'd enjoy reading this.
